Fight in Wilson Leads to Stolen Gun Charge
Police say a scuffle between roommates led investigators to stolen gun.

A fight between two women in June 2010 led to charges being filed this week against one of them for allegedly possessing a stolen Ruger revolver.
Court records say the suspect, Michelle N. Cuocco, 31, of 29 N. Wright St., Wilson, was involved in a fight with her roommate on June 20, 2010 around 4:15pm. Police were called and were told Cuocco’s boyfriend stepped in “to break up the scuffle.”
Cuocco consented to a search of her bedroom, where police found a Ruger revolver on a closet shelf.

On about July 21, the investigating officer was told by Wilson Chief Steven Parkansky that a man reported to that his gun had been stolen.
An arrest warrant for Cuocco was approved on July 30. The records do not explain the time gap between the warrant’s approval and this week's charges.
Cuocco was arraigned Wednesday night by on-duty District Judge Douglas Schlegel of Wind Gap on a charge of receiving stolen property, a second-degree felony. She was committed to after failing to post $20,000 bail.
Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
