It's No Joke, Street Sweeping Resumes April 1
Street sweeping begins again in all four Easton neighborhoods later this week--check where you park for posted weekly restrictions to avoid a costly fine.

Easton City officials wish to remind residents that regular street sweeping will resume on designated streets on April 1.
Parking restrictions for designated street sweeping times are posted on signs on affected streets. No changes from last year's schedule are planned, said Glenn Steckman, the city's administrator.
Police and parking enforcement officials will be issuing warnings for street sweeping parking violations for the first two weeks of April. After then, full enforcement will be in effect and violators will be fined. The regular fine is $25 if paid within 7 days and increases to $35 if paid later.

"If you live in a neighborhood where you have to move your car, get in the habit of moving your car," Vice Mayor Eleanor Warner said at last week's city council meeting.
Parking is prohibited on certain streets at designated times to let the sweeper clean city streets efficiently, Steckman said. Street sweeping occurs in all four of the city's neighborhoods and the city currently has two sweepers to get the job done.

“We really could use a third,” Steckman said, adding that the city has no plans to add another sweeper at this time.
