The LAA Invitational Art Show will feature four artists:
KAREN BENCO, of Allentown, began painting in oils but later fell in love with watercolors. She paints in a style often referred to as hyperrealism. She was recently accepted into the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and was the featured artist in the June/July 2013 issue of International Artist Magazine. www.karenbencoart.com/home.html
DAVID LEE, of Whitehall, is an award winning artist who paints in a style that is bold and spontaneous. He enjoys painting local Pennsylvania landscapes and places he travels to in other states. Generally he finishes a painting in one session to capture a moment in time as quickly as he can.
BEVERLY MURBACH-ERHARDT, of Easton, says "intuitively led by an inner voice, line and color drive me to the limits of abstraction. After a twenty-five year hiatus from painting, my journey has proven both invigorating and unsettling, a continual exploration leading me toward artistic unknowns." She has a working studio and gallery in Easton. www.me-artstudio.com/home
MARYANN RIKER, of Phillipsburg, is a mixed media artist. Her artist books and collages incorporate vintage advertising, woodcuts and signage to convey a visual narrative through the book format. Themes incorporate time, journeys and memory to explore the spiritual and emotional voyages of our lives. www.justarippress.com
