Lehigh County Man Allegedly Assaults Easton Police Office in Store, Faces Four Charges
Easton Police say a work release inmate attacked a police officer on Nov. 25.

A Northampton County Prison work release inmate who allegedly assaulted an Easton police officer in a downtown Easton market is facing four charges relating to the incident.
The man, identified as Andrew Ohl, 25, of the Coopersburg area, was hospitalized after the attack and has not been returned to Northampton County Prison, according to The Express-Times. Easton Police responded to a disturbance at the Easton Corner Grocery and Deli, at 357 Northampton Street, around 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 25. Upon entering the store one officer was attacked by the man, who was subsequently subdued and taken into custody after a struggle, The Express-Times reported.
Ohl is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, according to court documents, but he has not yet been arraigned.
