New BLOG in the POCONOS addresses the problem of LITTER AND TRASH

Take a look at this artists discussion on the problem of litter.

GLINDA'S FIRST ARTICLE ON TRASH

In her first published piece on trash, Glinda Johnson-Medland speaks about the nature of the photographic project she began six years ago. Trying to capture the photos of the trash she saw all around was meant to take the problem to another level - a level of public appeal and outcry. The use of art to elevate the status of an issue is as old as time. Art takes things out of context in order to shine a light and focus a lens on the "thing" represented. In this case, TRASH. These images and words speak to us of the "out of place" nature of trash and a society that allows this with little recourse to erradicating its ugliness and inappropriateness.
