Off-Duty Cops Cited for Public Drunkenness
Easton officers were in Carbon County at the time, release says.

Two off-duty Easton police officers were cited for public drunkenness in Carbon County over the weekend.
According to a news release issued by the city department Tuesday, Officers Thomas Beiser and Russell Demko were cited by the Kidder Township police for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following an incident at a Holiday Inn.
They will receive citations in the mail.

Kidder Township said additional information about the incident would need to come from its chief, who was not available Tuesday afternoon.
The city police department will conduct its own investigation into the incident, according to the news release.

"The Easton Police Department Code of Conduct requires and the police administration expects that our officers conduct themselves in a professional manner on and off duty," the release says.
Update (Wednesday at 1:05 p.m.): The Express-Times says the charges stem from the two officers getting into a fight -- with each other -- at the hotel.
