Phillipsburg Man Beaten to Death

A Phillipsburg man was beaten to death early Monday morning, accorging to the Warren County Prosecutor's office.

Scott Patronick, 47, of the 200 block of Washington Street, was found lying unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries in Pear Alley, near Hudson Street, just before 2 a.m.

He was taken to Warren Hospital, where he later died. According to a news release from the prosecutor's office, an investigation led Phillipsburg police to Joshua Dalrymple, 27, and Nicholas Yerian, 24, both residents of the town. 

They were arraigned before Judge John J. Coyle, Jr. on murder charges, and sent to county prison in lieu of $1 million bail. Yerain and Dalrymple face 30 years to life in prison in convicted. Police and the prosecutor could not be reached for further comment Monday afternoon.

A man who answered the door at Patronick's home -- a large, brightly-colored house with several beagles inside -- declined to speak to a reporter.
