Police: Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested

Easton Police say they found a man facing two counts of attempted murder hiding behind a dresser in a home on Berwick Street.

A 19-year-old Easton man accused of attempted murder was taken into custody after officers discovered him hiding behind a dresser at a home in the 400 block of W. Berwick Street, Easton Police said.

Dawshawn "Trizz" Cosme of 600 Canal St. was arrested late Thursday night on charges of two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. The charges stemmed from a in Neston Heights in March. At a school board meeting in April, Mayor Sal Panto said that the shooting was after an argument over a   

On Thursday night, acting on a tip, police conducted surveillance of the Berwick Street home before searching it. Cosme was taken into custody without incident and arraigned by District Magistrate John Capabianco, they said. He was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
