Police Search Home in Carjacking Case
Man hospitalized with gun shot wound in West Ward incident.

The search of an Easton man's home led to evidence connected to a car-jacking/shooting in the West Ward, city police said Wednesday.
Police obtained a warrant to search the home of James Hamilton, 40, in the 100 block of South Mulberry Street, and found bloody clothing and other related evidence, Lt. Stephen Casterline said.
Hamilton had admitted himself to Hunterdon County Medical Center at about 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, Casterline said.
He has since been transferred to an undisclosed local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

On late Tuesday night, two men approached a black Ford sport utility vehicle on South 11th Street near Washington Street and forced the driver out of the car at gun point.
At some point, a shot was fired and someone was hit, Casterline said. It is unclear whether the shot came from inside or outside the vehicle, he said.
Officials refused to comment on whether the injury may have been self-inflicted.
Police found the black Ford Expedition at about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday night near Bushkill and North Oak street. Emergency radio broadcasts indicated there was blood on the steering wheel and a bullet on the driver's side floor near the pedals.
No arrests have yet been made in the case, and Hamilton's possible involvement in the incident is being investigated.
"We're still investigating," Casterline said, adding that police are looking for at least one suspect, possibly two.
"We believe there was a second person involved," he said.
Other than that they are male, there is little description of the possible suspects, he said.
