Police: Easton Man Assaulted Wife

Juan Carlos Guido accused by Easton police of punching wife, grabbing her throat.

A South Side Easton man grabbed his wife around the throat Saturday night and punched her in the nose, court records say.

When police arrived at the Highlands Circle home of Juan Carlos Guido, 42, they found “fresh injury” to the wife and “a large amount of blood on her shirt and clothing.”

She had about a 1-inch laceration on the bridge of her nose, according to a criminal complaint filed by Patrolman Jamie Luise.

The wife told police her husband was intoxicated and began arguing with her. She said he grabbed her around the throat and punched her in the nose.

Guido was charged with recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment.

He was arraigned Sunday by on-duty District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township and committed to after failing to post $5,000 bail.
