Police: Easton Man Choked, Punched Wife

An Easton man was jailed Wednesday for allegedly assaulting his wife.

City police say Mohamed El Sagheer, 30, of the 600 block of Canal Street, attacked his wife during an argument, choking and punching her.

El Sagheer was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter in Wilson and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
