Police: Easton Man Molested Two Girls
Easton police charge William Howard, 56, with inappropriately touching two sisters he was babysitting.

A Downtown Easton man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he molested two girls he and his girlfriend were babysitting.
Police said William Stanley Howard, 56, of 215 Michael J. Koury Place, touched the girls -- sisters who were 9 and 10 -- between April 2010 and May 2011.
Police say the girls' mother reported the molestation in July. According to court records, Howard agreed to take a polygraph test, and during that interview, told police "I went overboard with them."

In the same interview, Howard apologized to the girls, police say. "Tell them I never meant to hurt them, and I'll get help."
Police took Howard, an unemployed masonry worker, into custody at his home Tuesday afternoon. He was arraigned , and charged with one count each of indecent assault and corruption of minors, both third degree felonies.

If convincted, he could serve up seven years in prison for each charge. Elwell set bail at $25,000. It was unclear Tuesday afternoon whether he'd be able to post bail.
