Police: Easton Woman Fired Gun During Fight
Easton police say Ann Austin shot handgun during dispute with her husband at College Hill home.

Easton police say a College Hill woman fired a gun during a fight with her husband, who then allegedly hit her with it.
Ann Austin, 25, of 131 Cattell St. was charged Wednesday with reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.
According to court records, police were called to Austin's home on the afternoon of March 24. She told officers that her husband, Phillip, had grabbed the gun from her, hit her with it, and then punched her in the face.

Based on this statement, police placed Phillip Austin in custody. It was unclear whether he was also charged.
Police say Phillip Austin told them Ann had fired the gun during their fight. Investigators found a bullet hole in the house, but said Ann Austin did not initially admit to firing the gun.
