Police: Easton Woman Hit Daughter With Pliers
Easton police charge Bonifacia Monzon, 57, with assault.

A South Side Easton woman has been charged with hitting her daughter in the head multiple times with a pair of pliers, causing "minor injury," according to court records.
Bonifacia Monzon, 57, of 208 E. Kleinhans St., has been charged with simple assault and harassment. The incident occurred at 11:05pm Tuesday, the records say.
A who talked to the daughter said he observed dried blood on her face, arms and hands, as well as minor lacerations and minor swelling on her head. The records do not list the daughter’s age. The daughter told the officer her mother assaulted her with a pair of pliers.
The records also do not say what may have triggered the attack. Monzon was arraigned early Wednesday by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
