A black bear was shot and killed by Easton police on Saturday night
Police shot and killed a bear off North Fifth Street on Saturday night after attempts to tranquilize the animal failed, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report.
The bear was earlier in the day. Residents later called police that night saying the bear was getting into garbage cans.
There was a on the city's south side about 10 days ago.
