Rovers Fall to Hurricanes, 4-2
Easton played a tight defensive game, but offensively, didn't drive in base runners.
Thursday's match at Liberty was competitive, a battle to the end. In the field, Easton's defense shined, despite a very vocal Hurricanes dugout.
Still the Bethlehem school handed the Rovers their first loss of the season with a 4-2 game.
Senior Jon Bisci took the mound for his first start of the year. Junior Dom Mancuso played at first.

Easton's fast reactions in the infield was a definite improvement from the previous game at Freedom. Two key catches were made by senior shortstop Colin Case to hold the Hurricanes. His catch at second followed by a quick throw to first made the Rovers' last out of the first. Case saved the Rovers from two runs. Senior Kevin Nemeth also shined in the field make several key stops.
But in the second inning, Liberty scored three runs. In the end, Easton failed to produce hits when most needed, stranding a total of 7 runners on base.

"Bisci pitched real well... we couldn't get the clutch hits," Case, team captain, said following the game.
Liberty's shortstop was 2 for 2, and pitcher Matt Albright had six strikeouts.
Easton's Greg Butto hit a triple early in the game, earning him a RBI.
This is the first loss of the season for Easton; their record is now 3-1. They'll play Friday, 4 pm at Limeport Stadium against Allentown Central Catholic. Then they will host Pleasant Valley at home Saturday at 11 am.
