Simply Savory, Orpheus Orchestra Ahead This Week

Good morning everyone. A new week is here, so it's time to look at what the next few days have to offer us.

1. Easton Area High School holds an open house for the 2013-2014 school year Thursday evening from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

2. Dig in to ProJeCt of Easton's Simply Savory fundraiser Monday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.at the Hampton Inn. It's $75, which gives you a chance to sample some of the Easton area's best restaurants and help a worthy cause. Register at www.projecteaston.org or call 610-258-4361, ext. 18.

3. The Easton Area School Board holds a special board meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., followed by regular committee meetings. Meetings are held at the district offices, 1801 Bushkill Drive in Forks Township.

4. The Orpheus Chamber will premiere a new concerto by pianist Brad Mehldau Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. at the Williams Center for the Performing Arts at Lafayette College.

5. Easton City Council meets Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at city hall.
