
Six people were arrested Thursday following a series of controlled drug buys done by Easton police.
According to police, the operation was funded by a Community Development Block Grant, and led to the following arrests:
- Geraldo Rivera, 44, who gave his address as Safe Harbor. Police said Rivera was in possession of 10 packages of heroin following a controlled buy on the 900 block of Pine Street. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
- Tajhan Knox, 20, 3104 Vermont St., Palmer Township. Knox was part of the same operation as Rivera, police said, and was holding 27 packages of heroin. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
- Rondega Hines, 37, Bronx, NY. Police said Hines sold crack to a police source inside the Lafayette Bar on Fourth Street. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, and also arraigned on an outstanding warrant for providing false identification to law enforcement. Unable to post $16,000 bail on both charges, he want sent to county prison.
- Sharron Brown, 30, 929 Butler St., was arrested leaving the bar with Hines, and charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Police said he will be charged via summons.
- Rufus Phillips, 25, 136 S. 8th St. Police said Phillips sold crack to a police source inside Eddie G's Bar in Lehn's Court. He was harged with delivery of a controlled substance and sent to county prison under $50,000.00 bail.
- Aljaleel Singleton, 36, 520 Ferry St., Apt. 3. Police said Singelton sold crack to a police source on the 200 block of Sitgreaves Street. charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and was free on unsecured bail.
All defendants were arraigned before on-duty District Judge Adrienne Masut in Wind Gap.
