Instead, we're facing a future where the city -- along with several other Northampton County communities -- are moved into a new district represented by Schuylkill County-based Congressman Tim Holden.

Full disclosure: I know Tim Holden. We're distantly related through marriage. (No, really. I was at his house on the night after Thanksgiving.)
We've always gotten along. And I don't think he'd ignore his new constituents.Â
I also know that he's 90 minutes away, and I think Easton Mayor Sal Panto had it right when he told the TV station that the region has more clout when it's part of the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton team.Â
I'm also curious what our readers think. Are you ok with being part of the new district? Or would you rather see the Lehigh Valley remain whole?
