"The Surprising Advantages of an Independent School Education"

John Chubb, who became president of the National Association of Independent Schools in July, will present a program, "The Surprising Advantages of an Independent School Education" on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be held at The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th St., Allentown.

Chubb will be in the Lehigh Valley for the day, visiting Swain, Moravian Academy and The Perkiomen School, as he tours schools around the country.

Chubb has served as interim CEO of Leeds Global Partners, an international education services and consulting firm, and he was founder, senior executive vice president and chief education officer of EdisonLearning, the pioneering education management organization. His most recent book is The Best Teachers in the World: Why We Don’t Have Them and How We Could.
