Tombler's Sets Up Temporary Kitchen

But the company hasn't given up; it hopes to move into new building until the end of the year.

Until that happens, owner Karen Drake will be making her baked goods in Easton, using the kitchen at synagogue. The Easton Zoning Hearing Board gave Drake approval Monday night to use the synagogue kitchen for the rest of the year.

"We looked for 5 months before we were able to find space at the temple," Drake told the board.

She said they'll operate two days a week, six hours a day at the temple, located at 1451 Northampton Street.

Also Wednesday, the board approved a new grocery store for Easton's South Side. Pedro Lebron has run groceries in the city before, and wants to set up his new shop in a vacant storefront at 501 W. Berwick St.

The board also gave Joseph Moussa permission to set up a car dealership at 715 Walnut St. The business -- formerly home to an auto parts dealer known as Motion Mania -- will also provide auto detailing, Moussa said.
