Two Rivers Brewing Gets $450,000 Grant
The Commonwealth Financing Authority gives new Easton brew pub grant meant for old project.

The Two Rivers Brewing Company has gotten a $450,000 state grant.
According to the Express-Times, the grant will to go to Easton's Redevelopment Authority, which will then transfer the money to  -- in the former Mount Vernon Ale House at Sixth and Northampton streets -- in the form of a low-interest loan.
The grant had been intended for another, similar project, the aborted Victory Square Brew Pub at the 300 block of Northampton, inside the Weller Center property.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority is an agency that adminsters Pennsylvania's economic stimulus money to local projects. Earlier this year, it awarded a $250,000 grant to the renovation of the former Lipkin's building on South Third Street.
