Viewfinder: New Citizens

County residents take the oath at Naturalization Court.

Northampton County Judge Michael J. Koury Jr. presided in Naturalization Court on Tuesday and administered the Oath of Allegiance to new citizens.

The ceremony was held in Courtroom 1 at the in Easton.

A color guard from Brown and Lynch American Legion Post 9 presented the colors.

Attorney Jill Mancini was master of ceremonies. Remarks were given by Bonnie Pierce, Regent, George Taylor Chapter, NSDAR.  Attorney Kerry Freidl, President of the Northamton County Bar Association and Judge Michael Koury, Jr.

Awards were presented to third, fourth and fifth grade students who had winning entries in  the “My Favorite Place in America” art contest.
