Walk with ProJeCt May 30 in the Highmark Walk

ProJeCt of Easton, an 11-year participant in the Highmark Walk, seeks walkers for May 30, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at DeSales University.

ProJeCt seeks teams of families, friends and colleagues to participate, raise money for ProJeCt and vie for the Golden Sole, Golden Soul and Young Golden Sole awards given to business/community teams, faith group teams, and youth teams that raise the most money for ProJeCt. Highmark, Inc. underwrites the cost of the walk, so all funds raised directly benefit ProJeCt’s food pantry, emergency assistance, youth development and literacy education programs.

“We are excited to have been participating in this community-wide event since its inception in the Lehigh Valley,” Komisor said. “The Highmark Walk is an enjoyable spring event and an important fundraiser for the agency.”

With a goal of $10,000, ProJeCt seeks support of community members to walk and raise funds. The first 100 registrants will receive a ProJeCt Highmark Walk T-shirt. Walkers who raise $25 will receive a Highmark Walk T-shirt. Additional prizes from Highmark and ProJeCt will be raffled off to walkers on May 30 at the Walk.
