West Easton Fight Gets Couple Arrested

Police say two people flashed knives at each other during dispute Monday.

A man and his girlfriend fought with each other and displayed a knife in a domestic dispute in West Easton, and both ended up getting charged, according to court records.

David T. Tuller, 49, and Jaymi Jo McAuliffe, 39, were charged with simple assault and harassment by physical contact. The fight happened about 4:25pm Monday at their apartment at 79 Main St., Apt./Suite A, second floor. Another man and another woman also were involved in the incident, according to the records, which list a second address for Tuller – 35 Reservoir Road, Stewartsville, N.J.

McAuliffe and the other woman told police that Tuller struck them in the face and displayed a knife while he and McAuliffe were arguing. Tuller, meanwhile, told police that he too was struck in the face – by McAuliffe -- and that she displayed a knife. “A witness” corroborated Tuller’s story, the records say.

Both were arraigned Monday night by on-duty District Judge Adrianne Masut of Wind Gap. Each was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
