• Luzerne County commission endorses 4 earmarks for $451K in opioid funds (citizensvoice.com) — Edwardsville's Restorative Roots, which runs local recovery houses, is in line for $125,000 in Luzerne County opioid settlement funds, far less than the $605,500 it requested to nearly double its beds. The county opioid commission backed three other treatment and recovery-related projects, and its recommendations now go to county council for final approval.
• Luzerne County property transfers from Aug. 3 through Aug. 7 (timesleader.com) — If you're watching the Edwardsville housing market, one local property at 86 Hoblak Street changed hands recently for $65,000. It's part of a long list of Luzerne County real estate transfers from early August, offering a snapshot of prices across nearby communities.
