The East Penn Board of School Directors honored the 2018 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists at the October 23, 2017 School Board Mtg.

The East Penn Board of School Directors honored the 2018 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists at the October 23, 2017 School Board Meeting. Less than 1% of high school students achieve this honor. About 1.6 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test(PSAT/NMSQT®). These students represent the highest scoring students in Pennsylvania on the PSAT/NMSQT. Congratulations to Lily Day, Xinyi He, Bradley Klemick, Lucas Maake, Aman Malik, Sandhya Sriram, and Miles Zakos.

From the approximately 16,000 semifinalists, about 15,000 are expected to advance to the finalist level this February. All National Merit Scholarship winners will be selected from this group of finalists.
