Today's riddle: Why did the burglar wear blue gloves? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Lehigh County food safety inspections for the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 6 (spotlightpa.org) — Several Emmaus food businesses, including Catholic War Vets, Citizens Fire Co. #2, House, and Weis Market on Chestnut Street, recently received state inspections noting issues from leaks and grease buildup to fruit flies and improper food temperatures. While most problems are fixable, the report helps Emmaus diners see where high-priority violations occurred and which nearby establishments passed with no violations.
• Boys Cross Country Runners of the Week for Sept. 8: Some new faces step up (lehighvalleylive.com) — Emmaus High School runners earned strong recognition in this week's lehighvalleylive boys cross country honors, with junior David Hearn named overall Runner of the Week after a standout finish at the Northampton Invitational. Teammates Michael Carwell and Roen Woolf also received honorable mentions, underscoring a promising start to the season for Emmaus distance running.
