The Rose Group Wins the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Restaurant Neighbor Award

The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Corner Baker Cafe, will be awarded with the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association’s (PRLA) Restaurant Neighbor Award during the Spring Membership Meeting Gala on Sunday, March 10. The PRLA Restaurant Neighbor Award recognizes restaurant companies that have shown outstanding community service and involvement.

“The Rose Group’s philanthropic endeavors and deep support for charitable organizations in the communities they serve is extraordinary,” said Patrick Conway, President & CEO of the PRLA.  Conway added, “The Rose Group embodies what our industry is all about – service to our guests and service to the communities in which we live and work.  The charitable work of the employees of The Rose Group makes a real impact in the communities the company serves.”

The Rose Group partners with charities, civic groups, clubs, non-profit organizations and schools to provide support in many ways. For instance, the Flapjack Fundraiser program is an effective way for organizations to raise funds by hosting a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s. Other local initiatives include Dining to Donate, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the James A. Michener Art Museum partnership.

The Rose Group is among three other state winners who will be submitted to the National Restaurant Association for consideration for the national Restaurant Neighbor Award.  Four national winners will be chosen and will receive $5,000 each to support their local community efforts.
