Burglars Strike Emmaus Rite Aid

...And Bethlehem Woman Charged With Assault

Justine Kara Staddie, 31, of 1749 Linden St., Bethlehem, was arrested for assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting Robert Schiff, 26, in the 500 block of Ridge Street.

Emmaus police made the arrest after responding to a call about a domestic disturbance. The time of the incident, and details about its cause, were not disclosed by police.

Schiff, the victim, had left the scene before police arrived. When Schiff returned, it was determined he was driving under the influence and he also was arrested.

Staddie was processed at the Lehigh County Central Booking Center and arraigned.

Schiff, who lives at 559 Ridge St., Emmaus, was processed at the Lehigh County DUI Center and released. 

Nov. 22

A burglary occurred at the Rite Aid store, 1328 Chestnut Street. Police discovered it when they responded to an alarm at the Rite Aid.

The time of the incident was not disclosed by police.

An inventory is being conducted to determine what items were taken.

Nov. 19

An unidentified 19 year-old male Emmaus High School student was cited for disorderly conduct after he used profanity toward school staff.  The young man was cited and released by police.

Nov. 17

Two 15-year-old male Emmaus High School students were charged with disorderly conduct after they got into a fight at the school. Both juveniles were enrolled in the Impact Project as first-time offenders.
