Chicken Lounge Offers Good Food, Unique Atmosphere

As soon as you set foot in The Chicken Lounge, you know immediately whether or not you want to stay. With one of the most unique atmospheres in the Lehigh Valley, The Chicken Lounge gives off a laid-back, underground feel. The small restaurant is shaped like an oval with burnt orange walls, dim lighting and splashes of dark brown brick and stone. In the center of the room is the kitchen (yeah, the kitchen) with a low, circular bar around the hot grills and skillets.

The menu offers an array of American classics – wraps, burgers, sandwiches, salads and a handful of dinner entrees. And if you're a beer lover (like me), the selection is pretty extensive.

The Chicken Lounge is known for its “famous nachos” that feature Doritos chips piled with cheese, jalapeños, homemade guacamole, sour cream and the option of adding chicken. Right now it's featuring a variety of salads like the Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Caesar Salad and the Southwest Chicken Salad.

I thoroughly enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. The only complaint I have is the service (we had three different waitresses and weren’t very attended to).

My meal:  a bottle of Shock Top and the Encrusted Salmon Salad with sesame dressing. I’d give it a full 5/5 (the salmon was cooked to perfection).
