EHS Future Business Leaders to Compete at State Level

The Emmaus High School’s Future Business Leaders of America club competed at a regional leadership conference hosted by Northampton Community College on Dec. 20. Many students were recognized for their achievements at the event and 11, including all four of the club's officers, will move on to the state competition.

Seniors Nathan Benjamin, club president, and Samantha Thomas, club vice president, received Who's Who certificates for their accomplishments. Freshman Daniel Amankwatia placed first in "Intro to Tech Concepts."

Participants completed an online test at the high school on Dec. 7, and many assembled portfolio samples or completed performance events (like a job interview or help desk simulation) to compete.

EHS was one of 14 schools to take part in the regional conference.

The names of the students who placed in the competition, including grade level and testing category, follows. Those listed in bold will be moving on to the state competition.
