
Back by popular demand is LITERARY LUNCH, JUNIOR for students in GRADES 4 and 5. The first 15 people to register receive a free copy of each book for which they register. Others are welcome to come but must furnish their own books. (Sharing is a good thing!) Students read the book before the discussion and then bring the book and their lunches to the library on the date below for a discussion. The library furnishes dessert and lemonade.

Saturday, January 7: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo. A dearly loved white china rabbit disappears over the side of a boat, breaking a young girl’s heart. The travels of the rabbit help him learn to love and to care for many people he meets along his way.
Saturday, March 3: Loser by Jerry Spinelli. Zinkoff never wins, but he stays busy. He doesn’t always hear the unkind word people call him. Trace his journey from first grade through 6th. And see if you think that in the end, he is a hero!
