Emmaus Kicks Off Holidays With Series of Weekend Activities
Events for the "Old Fashioned Christmas" celebration took place throughout Emmaus during the past weekend, offering fun for just about everyone.
The "Old Fashioned Christmas" celebration began on Friday night, Dec. 2, as the kicked off a fun-filled weekend by hosting their 5th Annual Wine and Cheese Reception and Holiday Book Sale.
Students from 's Jazz Ensemble entertained guests who took advantage of the free food and drinks.
Checks were presented from several groups in support of the library, with the donating $16,000. Friday's donation brings their total contributions to the library to $90,000.

The added to the festivities as the group continued its annual tradition of hosting - a progressive wine and cheese open house throughout the downtown shops.
The fun continued through Saturday, as a number of local historic Emmaus sites such as , and opened their doors to welcome locals to old-time holiday traditions such as candle-making, ornament crafting, holiday stories and tours of the historic buildings.

Later in the day, horse and carriage rides were offered for a minimal fee. Music and caroling began on , and by 6 p.m. the annual took place drawing hundreds of locals to the downtown area.
