Jefferson Teacher Named B104 Teacher of the Month
Sallie Yencho, who teaches third grade at Jefferson Elementary School, was nominated for the B104 'Teacher Salute' award by one of her students.

A third-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School has been named the B104 Teacher Salute award winner for February and her class is going to get a pizza party to prove it.
Sallie Yencho was nominated for the award by Ty Geiger and his mother, Maia, who feel that Ty is lucky to be in Yencho’s class. They entered her into the contest as a way of thanking her for all that she does for Ty.
According to the B104 website, Ty’s mother had this to say in nominating Yencho for the honor:

"My son has some challenges with attention. Mrs. Yencho has become our partner in finding the best approaches for him. She is always able to see his strengths, and sings his praises even though I know he causes her a lot of work! He has had an excellent 3rd grade year, and has grown in so many ways. If you want to talk about a teacher changing a life, just look at my son. Thank You Mrs. Yencho!”
As a result of being selected as the B104 Teacher Salute winner for February, Yencho’s third-grade class will be treated to a Little Caesars class pizza party delivered by B104 morning host Mike Kelly.
