Lehigh Valley girl Breaths New Life Into a Bygone Art Form
Vintage entertainment makes a triumphant comeback.

Burlesque Phenom, Mika Romantic (AKA: Megan Thorpe) who was born and raised in Zionsville. PA and an Emmaus High School graduate will soon be on her way to perform in an All Star Revue in Milan Italy! As the Artistic Director of the Lehigh Valley’s Premier Burlesque Troupe, The Looking Glass Revue, Mika has introduced a new generation to the reemerging art form and has brought the vintage show to venues in and around the Valley with great success and accolades. Mika has been chosen to perform in a three month revue at Le Roi in Milan Italy, which will begin in October. The historic nightclub is not only the hottest but oldest in the infamous fashion capital. Mika is one of the top Burlesque Performers in the area and is the current title holder of the Bowery Burlesque Queen Award, she has performed at venues around the country and most notably performed for a packed house during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. In addition to her dance career, she is a sought after Pin-Up Model and has won awards for her work and has been featured in numerous publications. Mika lives a “vintage” lifestyle and has dedicated her time and her career to the education of others on the nostalgic by-gone era, where the movie musical was the norm and showgirls and starlets reigned supreme.
The Troupe has planned a farewell extravaganza show which will be performed at McCoole’s Theatre in Quakertown, PA on Friday, September 19th.
