Lehigh Valley Sinkhole Swallows Up Utility Truck
PPL utility truck consumed by sinkhole after water main break

Thirty people have been evacuated from their homes in Bethlehem Township after a water main break caused a large sinkhole, swallowing a Pennsylvania Power and Light utility truck.
PPL responded to a water main break, that began around 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to 6ABC.com. After arriving on the scene, a large sinkhole opened up under a utility truck. The rear of the truck fell into the hole and rest on, but did not break, a natural gas line.
Authorities shut off the gas and water in the neighborhood and asked residents to leave as a precaution, according to LehighValleyLive.com. The Red Cross responded to the evacuation and set up an emergency shelter at the Bethlehem Township Community Center, Lehigh Valley Live said.
