Olympic Gold Medalist to Sign Books at Velodrome
Emmaus' own Marty Nothstein will discuss his Olympic experience and sign copies of his new book at Lehigh Valley Velodrome event on Friday.

With two weeks to go until the 2012 Olympics begin, Emmaus native Marty Nothstein will discuss his hard-fought road to an Olympic cycling gold medal and the will be on hand to sell copies of his new book at a special event at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome in Breinigsville Friday night.
Rodale published Nothstein's memoir, The Price of Gold: The Toll and Triumph of One Man's Olympic Dream, last month.
In the book, Nothstein writes about his journey to gold at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. At Atlanta, in 1996, Nothstein won the silver medal, losing the gold by a hair at the championship race and vowed to come back to win a gold medal.

He will be signing copies of the book during the event at the Velodrome, which also will include an evening of cycling. Nothstein will be joined for a panel discussion by his long-time coach and mentor, Gil Hatton, and up-and-coming junior track cyclist Matt Baranoski.
USA Cycling's Junior Track Nationals will precede the panel; The World Series of Bicycling races will take place immediately following the panel.
