Register Now: Eyer Middle School Chili Cook-off, Bake-off, Craft Fair

Calling all cooks, bakers and candlestick makers! Eyer Middle School needs you.

Eyer is hosting its annual Chili Cook-off and Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. But, this year the school has added a new twist -- a Bake-off.

The deadline to register to be a part of this unique community fundraiser, which benefits Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, is Nov. 7, so the clock is ticking. 

Amateur chefs have always been the heart of this competition, but this year Eyer is really looking to have a separate category for local eateries as well, according to Eyer 7th grade social studies teacher Kelsey Torpey. In fact, Eyer is hoping to have a showdown of professionals competing in this year's chili cook off and bake off.
 
"It's a great way to promote your business and support your local school and community," Torpey says. "So sign up now and secure your bragging rights!  If your restaurant thinks you've got what it takes, then prove it!"  

There is no cost to enter either culinary competition. Vendors can rent a table to sell their wares for a cost of only $12.

There will be a $3 admission charge to attend the event.
