Second, Third Grade Library Reading Program Begins Tonight

All second and third graders are invited to the Emmaus Public Library to embark on a six-week reading adventure.

Second and third graders are invited to take part in a six-week “Reading Adventure” series at the (EPL), beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

According to EPL handouts about the program, program participants will explore new books and old favorites and delve into both fiction and non-fiction works. Crafts, dancing and other hands-on activities will also be included in the sessions.

Each meeting runs for one hour and focuses on a different theme.

The program will run on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates, covering the following topics:

  • October 13 – Jungle Animals
  • October 20 – Alaska
  • November 3 – Egypt
  • November 10 – Dinosaurs
  • November 17 – Thanksgiving
  • December 1 – Awesome Authors

Register for the Reading Adventure series at the front desk of the Emmaus Public Library or by calling 610-965-9284. There were still spaces available in the program at the time of this writing. Students will be permitted to join the program after the first week.
