Stahl’s Pottery Kicks off Summer Festival With Gala
Friday celebration opened the 25th annual festival with music and a chocolate fountain.
It was a relaxing evening of wine, cheese, a chocolate fountain and music on June 15 as the celebrated 25 years of its founding and summer festivals.
Attendees were able to purchase pottery from participating potters who set up for the event. Several of the potters donated an item they made to the silent auction.
Music by the Rob Stoneback Brass Quartet filled the air. The band played “Frosty the Snowman” for the crowd--possibly in hopes of some cooler and less humid weather.

One of the big features of the evening was the chocolate fountain. Guests dipped cakes, fruits, pretzels, marshmallows and chips into the luscious, sweet chocolate as it ran down into a bowl.
A special exhibit of Stahl’s Pottery from the private collection of Brad and Deanne Hamilton was on display in the museum. Several decorative birth certificates were also on display, as were some hand-made quilts.

And, as the evening darkened, a special nighttime firing demonstration of Raku was held behind the potting shed.
