The Peacock has Landed
Owner of peacock found in Vera Cruz still hasn't been located, but the bird was back on the ground yesterday, after being spooked into the trees.

The Vera Cruz woman who has been contacted Emmaus Patch with an update on the bird’s status yesterday.
J.J., who has been trying to find the bird’s owner since it showed up in her yard a few days ago, was excited to report that the bird who had been spooked into the trees on Tuesday had returned to the ground a day later.
J.J.’s peacock guest had flown into the trees around J.J.’s property on Tuesday after a volunteer from a nearby no-kill animal shelter bumbled an attempt to capture it.

According to J.J., on Wednesday the peacock was again allowing her to feed it and had resumed its previous practice of hanging out with her in her yard.
While several Emmaus Patch readers have made suggestions about possible places from whence the peacock may hail, at the time of this writing, its owner still had not been located.
