Jazz Band Swing Dance: 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The price of admission includes beverage and dessert and swing dance instruction.

Eyer Rock-a-thon: 7 p.m to 7 a.m. on Feb. 4 at Eyer Middle School. Due to inclement weather, the Rock-a-thon was rescheduled from its original January date. The popular event has been around for more than 20 years and raises money ($7,500 was raised last year) for a charitable organization. This year the event is raising money for Dream Come True and Justin's House. Justin's House is a home in Bethany Beach, Del., which allows terminally ill children and their families to vacation together, rent-free. Monies sent to Justin's House will go toward maintenance and upkeep. Seven-member teams rock for 11 hours, collecting flat pledges or a per-hour pledge rate.
