• Mary Lea Edel, 83, Emporium (theriver989.com) — Emporium is mourning longtime resident Mary Lea Edel, whose funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 8, at St. Mark Catholic Church on East Fourth Street, followed by burial in the parish cemetery. A devoted volunteer with the Emporium Garden Club, local library, Girl Scouts, and St. Mark's ministries, she is remembered for her faith, kindness, and quiet service to the community.
