2. Free Lunch, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, July 29 and 31, and Aug. 2—First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood, 120 East Swissvale Ave. in Edgewood. Children in Pre-K to age 18 can enjoy a free lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Call 412-241-4613.

3. Swissvale Council meeting, Wednesday, July 31, at 7 p.m.—The agenda setting meeting will be held at borough council chambers, 7560 Roslyn St. in Swissvale.

4. Notes from the Playground Outdoor Concert Series, Thursday, Aug. 1—Calvin Stemley Jazz Quartet will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shady Side Academy Junior School, 400 South Braddock Ave. in Point Breeze.

5. First Fridays at the Frick, Friday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m.—Matrimony will be performing at The Frick, 7227 Reynolds St. in Point Breeze. The group began as a duo in 2009 with Americana-rock influences and Irish-folk roots. A $5 donation is suggested.
