Pittsburgh’s own twin brother/ entrepreneurial duo Gary & Michael Kohanbash – owners of Pittsburgh’s popular pizza place, Milky Way – are launching another new business, bringing the first LaVida Massage to Pittsburgh, Shadyside specifically- at 5430 Centre Avenue (inside the Shady Shops.)

An entirely new concept in health, wellness, and well-being has entered the Pittsburgh market - LaVida Massage is proud to open its first location in Pittsburgh, PA! The new LaVida Massage Center boasts therapeutic massage and esthetic services for the whole family at prices that make massage accessible to all. The spacious 2800 square foot location features eleven regular massage rooms and a dedicated esthetics room (facials, etc). In addition, there is a couple’s massage room for those who wish to share a therapeutic massage with a loved one or spouse.

Gary & Michael Kohanbash will manage and operate the debut LaVida Massage Pittsburgh Center with the help of their dedicated spouses. Raised in Pittsburg, the team brings a wealth of scientific-health related background and experience to the new operation. Gary attended the University in Pittsburgh, receiving his M.S. in infectious diseases and microbiology. He is currently working on his PhD with cancer and immunology at the core of his study. Michael is no stranger to business success as the owner of Pittsburgh's popular local pizza place, Milky Way. While Michael knows what it takes to run a successful a business, he looks forward to transitioning into the "more relaxing" environment of therapeutic massage.
The entrepreneurial brothers both immediately recognized the health, wellness and practical business benefits of owning and operating a LaVida Massage. Following an injury, Gary's doctor recommended massage as part of his recovery process.
