What is "spirituality"?
- Spirituaity is a reality that enlightens people's hearts to hear anew and be renewed. It is pure grace. Spirituality is not lofty ideals lived apart from the world, but the flesh and blood and soil of everyday life. The Spirit rescues us from the head stuff - thinking that doctrines and dogma and having the right ideas and opinions is what matters, and focuses on the heart stuff of attitudes and the concrete living out of our lives and faith.
- Spirituality is the process whereby we are changed to become lovers of the world. First and foremost, we must be lovers. One person said it this way. Religion is for people who are afraid of going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there. Â
- Spirituality is counter-culture, and it is not rational, but it deals with the whole of life.Â
- What is my definition of spirituality? It is simply this: becoming more and more a vehicle of grace, compassion, light and hope.
What is your definition and how do you experience the the Spirit? Will you share it with me? Â
