After trailing at the conclusion of the first quarter, the Wolverines rallied through the next three quarters to post a relatively easy win over Franklin Regional. Â
Woodland Hills was led by senior Shakim Alonzo, who racked up 27 points on the night and was a dominant presence on both the defensive and offensive boards. A large crowd turned out to see the Wolverines in their home opener. Â
Coach Mike Decker's crew will head to Gateway for an evening contest this Friday. Gateway comes into the game highly ranked and an upset by the Wolverines could set the tone for what could be a promising season for the local cagers.
