Center for Women Offers Resources, Training, and Workshops for Women in Transition

Co-established by the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), Pittsburgh Section and the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Greater Pittsburgh (JWF), the Center for Women provides programming, services, and referrals to women in transition with the goal of financial literacy and economic independence.

A woman in transition is a woman who is experiencing a significant change in her life. Whether it’s becoming a widow after the death of her spouse, divorce or separation, or escaping an abusive relationship, women in transition can face a number of frustrating challenges. Perhaps her husband managed the family finances, and now she suddenly needs to juggle banking records, bills, and budgeting on her own. Or she was a mom who has not worked outside the home in many years. Maybe she needs help finding the resources she needs to make ends meet and support her family.

For more information on upcoming programs, visit our website at http://www.centerforwomenpgh.org.

The Center for Women serves all women without regard to faith, socio-economic status, or background.
