District Court: Caulfield Hears DUI, Assault and False ID Cases
Here's a look at the cases heard by Judge Thomas Caulfield last week.

Forest Hills District Justice Thomas Caulfield heard the following cases on May 1:
- Pernell Thompson, 26, of Swissvale waived a preliminary hearing on charges of false identification to law enforcement and tampering with public records. A charge of identity theft was withdrawn. Swissvale police filed the charges after an April 22 incident at the Arby's on South Braddock Avenue.
- Francis R. Grimes, 45, of North Versailles waived a preliminary hearing on charges of careless driving, disregarding a traffic lane, and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Forest Hills police filed the charges after a March 1 incident on the Westinghouse Bridge.
- Michael J. Parker, 36, of Swissvale waved a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, improper signaling and failure to use headlights. Swissvale police filed the charges after a Feb. 14 incident on South Braddock Avenue.
- Lakeila Laray Brown, 29, of Swissvale waived preliminary hearings on two sets of charges. Swissvale police charged her with simple assault and harassment after a Dec. 29, 2012, incident at the municipal lot. She also was charged with simple assault and harassment after an April 25 incident on Woodstock Avenue.
